If you’re ready to get out there and travel again, why not spice things up on the first go-round? Unless you’ve been itching to visit someplace in particular, it could be the perfect time to surprise yourself with a mystery vacation. And the best part? You don’t have to do any of the planning.

That’s because Pack Up + Go will take care of all the logistics for you. The surprise-vacation-planning travel agency has been working in the name of spontaneity for a few years now, capitalizing on the thrill that comes with not knowing your trip destination until the day you hit the road or head over to the airport.

How do they do it, you ask? Well, it works like this. First, you tell the good folks at Pack Up + Go what kind of experience you’re after. The options include traveling by plane or train, heading out on a road trip, going on an outdoor adventure or indulging in a staycation.

From there, they’ll have you fill out a survey that asks about your preferred travel dates; if you have any time restrictions; what, if any, trips you’ve taken within the U.S. recently (to avoid sending you to a repeat destination); your hobbies and interests, and what you prioritize most while on vacation (food and dining, luxury accommodations, doing as many activities as possible, etc.); and more.

The next steps in the process see you fill out your traveler information (name, contact details, all that good stuff), outline your specific accommodation preferences, and how much moolah you’re comfortable spending on this little excursion. Finally, they’ll have you review your information, fill out an emergency contact and ask if you’d like a travel insurance quote.

Unless you’re really unsure of what you’re looking for in terms of a vacation and need a little extra time to think about it, the entire process takes just 10-15 minutes (or less), and Pack Up + Go takes it from there.

Once your departure date is a week out, they’ll send you an email containing some pertinent details: the weather forecast for your mystery destination, recommended items to pack, any luggage size restrictions, and where to go and when. A few days before your trip, the final details will be mailed to you, and at that point, you can spoil the surprise or leave the big reveal right up until the day-of.

If all of that sounds good to you, I’ve got to pose the cliché question: what are you waiting for? Head over to their website and get yourself signed up. It could be just the adventure you’ve been needing in your life.
