Leap Day is Here — And So Are All the Travel Deals That Come With It

How do you celebrate a day that only comes around once every four years? By taking advantage of the numerous travel deals that airlines, hotels, and others are offering as a way to celebrate, of course! While some of the deals are targeted toward leaplings specifically, there’s still a little something out there for everyone.

On 2020’s extra day, you can find half-off train tickets, plenty of deals on flights, and a cornucopia of cheap hotel stays, so if you’ve got half-baked travel plans for later in the year, today could be the day to set everything in stone.

Here’s a look at this year’s Leap Day travel deals:

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
- Delta Airlines is offering discounted flights through March 3rd (deals vary by destination)
- JetBlue is waiving change and cancel fees through March 11th
- Amtrak is giving riders 50% off select train routes in March and April
- Megabus is offering free travel vouchers (for leaplings only)
Hotels
- Hotels.com is giving away 29 special discount codes worth $290 each as part of a contest for Leap Day babies (to enter, you have to tweet @hotelsdotcom today and share the biggest struggle of being born on Leap Day)
- Hotels.com is also offering 29% or more off hotel stays booked through March 1st, as well as an additional 8% off with code “LEAPYEAR2020”
- Graduate Hotels is offering 29% off all stays now through July 9th, as well as a $10 daily food and beverage credit, if you book your stay by March 6th
- Motel 6 has a 20% off deal for stays between now and March 31st (must be booked by March 2nd)
