I'm Falling for a Handsome Ghost

A friend recently introduced me to a band called Handsome Ghost, and I have to say they have me hooked. To date, they've only released two extended plays (with six songs each), one in 2015 and one this year. I don't know much about them, but you don't really need to know much other than they make music worth listening to.

According to Atwood Magazine's Mitch Mosk — who referred to Handsome Ghost's songs as "ethereal roller coaster rides full of emotion and reverb" in an article published in April 2015 — the band was signed by Photo Finish Records after their song "Blood Stutter" became a big hit on Spotify (which, sorry not sorry, I still refuse to try).

I heard "Blood Stutter" for the first time, maybe, a week and a half ago. I've been having mini-marathon sessions with it since then and I think it may be my official favorite song for the time being. This is significant, because the last time I had an official favorite song was in early 2007 — "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance (may they RIP). And (!!) I only ever considered one other song an official favorite before that. That was Eiffel 65's "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", which came out in 1999.

So you could say it's been a hot second. And after you say that, you should go ahead and listen to "Blood Stutter" — and "We Won't Sleep" and "Believers" and "Bloodshot" (all from the 2015 EP Steps).

Then mosey along and serenade your ear-balls with the EP they released just over a month ago, The Brilliant Glow (I'd recommend "Promises" and "Eyes Wide").
